Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals in Costa Rica

Manuel Antonio is where the rainforest runs straight into the Pacific. Howler monkeys move through the canopy above the road, the national park sits fifteen minutes from most of our homes, and the sunsets are the reason people come back. We are a family-owned company and we have been renting and managing villas here for over thirty years.

Every home below is one we manage directly. That means no booking-platform markup, a real person answering the phone, and a bilingual concierge who will arrange your airport transfer, your tours and your chef before you land.

Find a Villa by Group Size

Twenty-five homes, from a tiny home for two to an eighteen-guest estate. Group size is usually the fastest way to narrow it down

For Couples and Solo Travellers

Mi Casita is our romantic ocean view apartment for two. Serenity of Nature is a tiny home tucked into the rainforest above Quepos. Suite 9 sits on the main road, walking distance to restaurants, and is the best value on this list. Sunset Villa Macaw gives you two king suites, a pool and Pacific views for up to four.

For Small Groups of Six to Eight

Casa Blue Wind is a three-bedroom ocean view home for six. Condo Paraiso has a 180-degree ocean view and sits close to the beaches and restaurants. Casa Alegria comes with private beach access. Villa Natura is the quiet one, built for people who want to do very little. Casa Ventanas is our eco home, solar powered, with wildlife on the terrace most mornings. Pacific Paradise is further south in Uvita, near Dominical, close to the waterfalls.

For Families and Mid-Size Groups of Ten to Twelve

Casa Capuchin is our most requested home, four levels on a cliff with sixty-seven solar panels on the roof. Mi Casa Es Su Casa is the one to book if anyone in the group has mobility needs, and it is a short walk to the beach. Casa Carpe Diem is beachfront. Casa Cristal has an infinity pool and a rooftop bar. Casa Playitas and Casa Castillo are five and six bedroom homes with wide ocean views. Villa Macaw looks out over the surf break. Casa Paraiso en la Jungla sits at canopy level. Casa Pura Vista has the widest panorama we manage. Casa Sarita, Villa Mono Titi and Hummingbird Estate round out the group, all close to the national park.

For Large Groups and Multi-Family Trips

Casa Diamante sleeps eighteen and is the largest home we manage. Casa Colibri has a seventy-five foot infinity pool and sits in Matapalo, a short drive south of Manuel Antonio. Estrella del Mar is a six-bedroom rainforest villa with ocean views. For wedding parties and reunions, these three are where we usually start.

Where Our Villas Are

Most of our homes are in Manuel Antonio itself, on the ridge road between Quepos and the national park. Serenity of Nature sits above Quepos, twenty minutes north. Casa Colibri is in Matapalo, a quieter stretch of coast to the south. Pacific Paradise is furthest away, in Uvita near Dominical, about an hour south and the best base if you want the southern waterfalls and Isla del Cano.

The drive from San Jose is roughly three hours. Quepos has a small airport with daily flights if you would rather not drive, and our concierge can arrange the transfer either way.

Why Book Direct With VillasCR

Booking platforms add a service fee on top of the nightly rate. Booking with us does not. Beyond the price, direct guests get a named concierge from the moment the reservation is confirmed, not a support queue.

We arrange airport transfers, tour reservations, private chefs, grocery stocking and restaurant bookings. Every home has daily maid service except Sundays and national holidays. We meet you at the villa when you arrive and walk you through it. Thirty years in one small town means we know which tour operators show up on time and which restaurants are worth the drive.

Things to Do From Your Villa

Manuel Antonio National Park is the anchor, but most guests fill a week easily. These are the operators we book for our guests, all with roundtrip transport to the villas.

The guided national park tour is the one nobody should skip, and a guide with a scope is the difference between seeing three animals and thirty. Canopy ziplining and the ATV adventure are the adrenaline end. Sportfishing runs out of Marina Pez Vela in Quepos and the boats are serious. Surf lessons at Playa Espadilla suit complete beginners.

On the water, the catamaran coastal tour is the classic sunset trip, and jet ski tours and scuba diving fill an afternoon. Isla del Cano is a full day of snorkeling and diving from the south. The Damas Island mangroves are a slow boat through wildlife and work for every age and mobility level.

Inland, Nauyaca Waterfalls can be done on foot or by 4x4. The waterfalls heaven tour and canyoning with waterfall rappelling are the full-day versions. White water rafting and horseback riding round out the list.

When to Visit

Dry season runs from December to April and books out first, especially Christmas, New Year and Easter. Green season, May through November, brings afternoon rain, a much greener landscape and noticeably lower rates. September and October are the wettest months and the quietest.

If your dates are flexible, green season gives you the same villa for less. Our green season offers are listed separately.

Tell us your dates and your group size and we will tell you which homes are open and which one fits. Call 1-800-659-1048 or send us a message.
